Signing into your ChatGPT Edu account utilizes the Johns Hopkins Single Sign-On (SSO) process. This allows you the convenience of one username and password for accessing multiple services and tools.
- In a browser, navigate to https://chatgpt.com and click the Log In button.
Alternatively, visit https://my.jh.edu and search for the ChatGPT Edu tile. Click the tile to launch ChatGPT Edu in your browser.
If you're using the ChatGPT app, click the Login button. You may see a pop-up prompt that "ChatGPT wants to use openai.com to Sign-In." Click Continue.
2. In the Email address field, enter your JHED ID, followed by @jh.edu.
3. You will be redirected to the SSO Login Page. In the User Sign In Address field, enter your JHED ID, followed by @jh.edu.
4. On the next screen, enter the password associated with your JHED ID. If you’re unsure of your JHED ID or password, links are provided to resources for help recovering these.
5. You will now be redirected to ChatGPT Edu to begin using the tool.
